LECLERC & HAMILTON: A budding bromance?

On Thursday, LEWIS HAMILTON was asked in the Drivers’ press conference what has impressed him most about his team mate, CHARLES LECLERC.

The session became light-hearted and humorous as Hamilton replied|:

“Besides his great hair? [Ponders the question] His eyes. I mean, he’s a good looking lad, you know!”

Referring this comment to Leclerc afterwards, I asked if this could be a budding bromance, and if the Monegasque could return the compliment.

Laughing, Leclerc answered, “I was wondering what was the question to Lewis to answer that?

“Lewis is great! I’m not going to go into his eyes, he’s got great eyes, and he’s just a really nice person. We get on super super well and we share a lot of passions also, especially the one of music.”

Leclerc considered the years before Hamilton joined him at the Scuderia:

“We never really had the time. Every time we were seeing each other on a grand prix, it was more about speaking about the race in itself and the racing.”

Now that the two have joined forces, it’s easier to get to know each other better:

We’ve spent a lot of time back in Maranello and doing many other things as well [together], which is really cool and really interesting.

“He has lots of passions outside of racing, and to just get to know each other a bit more, it’s been super nice, and we get along super super well.”

Asking if him and Hamilton would collaborate musically, Leclerc said:

“A collaboration? I’m not sure.

“Let’s first focus on winning the Championship and we’ll see about the music.”
